Love me some taco johns! I visited here for lunch! The dining room was closed and it was drive thru only. I ordered 5 soft shell tacos for 5.99. 2 taco burgers and 1 large potato ole. Everything was fresh and delicious. The buns for the taco burgers and tortilla for the tacos were all soft! The taco burger was melt in your mouth good! I ordered the taco burgers and tacos with no mild sauce. The potato oles were crispy and delicious! I consider this place the best fast food Tex-mex chain in the country. You simply can't go wrong with a few tacos or taco burgers and potato oles from Taco johns!
As far as fast food tacos go, Taco Bell is the undisputed champ, both in mindshare and ubiquity. However, there is small yet adamantly loyal contingent of individuals who know what's up when it comes to late-night post-drinking munchies, and I proudly count myself among them. Whether it's the better quality ingredients, deeper menu, fresh salsa bar, or night owl friendly hours, Taco John's always seems to hit the spot with me and my buddies. One friend always manages to order way too much food and I have to bat cleanup on his potato oles which I always happily oblige.
